My name is Amy Winters and I am a Registered Psychologist and member in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I hold a Master of Education degree (M. Ed.) in Applied Psychology, from the University of Calgary (2011). I completed my undergraduate training in Psychology at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
I have a passion for problem solving, collaboration and life long learning. I have nurtured these traits through 15 years of post-secondary learning, graduate studies and clinical practice in the behavioural sciences.
I have been fortunate to develop and broaden my clinical skills and knowledge base through a variety of diverse experiences, working both in Canada and abroad. I have worked in a variety of community based, non-for profit and private settings, where I have been fortunate to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams, in the assessment and treatment of learning, attention and mental health disorders.
On a more personal note, my experiences as a mother have strengthened my appreciation for the complexities of parenthood and child development, and the sentiment that for various reasons, we all benefit from connection and support.
